I believe Mike Huckabee is THE BEST candidate for President of the United States because he is the only one running for president whose message represents my voice. I want our borders to be secure and Huckabee intends to secure them quickly and without amnesty. I want to protect the sanctity of life and the nature of marriage between a man and a woman; Huckabee intends not only to support or defend both of those causes, but to be a LEADER in those fights. I have scoured the internet and the t.v. channels to find as much information on Gov. Mike Huckabee as possible over the past few weeks. I've joined internet websites dedicated to supporting Gov. Huckabee's campaign. I have not seen one single piece of information, quote, or stance on an issue that I disagree with. I've participated in helping him by signing online petitions for a debate to be held between Huckabee & McCain. I've ordered bumper stickers & pins to display. I've donated small amounts of money to his campaign. I made calls to other states to ask for their support during their local primary. I sent a mass email to 40 people telling my friends & family about Mike Huckabee. Normally I do not get this involved in politics but this year I am all fired up! Hopefully I will be hearing him speak in person on Tues. 2/26. Gov. Mike Huckabee is the best man for the job and it is not too late to Save '08! Please help in any way you can by debunking misinformation, spreading the word, raising money, attending rallies, making calls, etc... Don't let the mass media channels tell you & me that this race is over. We don't want John McCain as our Republican candidate yet if we sit by & do nothing, that will be exactly what happens. The choice for president in 2008 is clear. You'll recognize him easily. He's giving 100% effort each and every day. That candidate is Mike Huckabee. The former Arkansas governor has already won in Iowa and with our support he could claim the nomination. Often when speaking about candidates people say "I'd vote for him/her but I don't think he/she really has a chance." I can't stand when I hear that!!! Everyone has a chance if we get out and vote for them!!! So to those of you who think Governor Huckabee is in trouble because he doesn't have the money or momentum that some of the other candidates have...think again. Get in there and vote and show the pollsters that it doesn't matter how big your wallet is. It only matters what voters do on election day. So....why do I like Governor Huckabee so much? Why wouldn't I? He believes in smaller government. He is pro-business. He wants to eliminate the IRS. He is pro-life. He has a great record in Arkansas on education. He's the only candidate with a realistic immigration plan. He will keep taxes low. His ideas on infrastructure are dead on. He will help veterans and current soldiers. I support Mike Huckabee because he stands firmly and in the right place on the most important issues facing our country today. As a Christian, I believe that life is a gift from God and must be respected and protected. This includes the life of the unborn. Mike Huckabee is firm in his pro-life position and is dedicated to defending the lives of the helpless. He supports a federal amendment to protect the right to life, and he believes that Roe vs. Wade should be overturned. For me, this is probably the most important moral issue on which to evaluate each candidate. Huck passed with flying colors. The institution of traditional marriage is also an important gift from God that is currently being threatened. Again, Mike stands on the Biblical side and supports the true definition of marriage declaring it as the union of one man and one woman. I also applaud and agree with his personal belief that the commitment of marriage should be for life. The testimony of Mike and Janet’s marriage for thirty-three years through the thick and thin is a truly amazing reminder of the mutual devotion God meant for a husband and wife to have for each other. The Huckabees are following God’s master plan. Another important concern I have for politicians is their position on the 2nd amendment. I have to say, Mike is about as strong on this issue as he could possibly be. Sure, he’s a hunter and likes to use guns for sport, but much more importantly than that, Mike Huckabee understands the fundamental concept that the Founding Fathers had in mind from the start. The right to keep and bear arms is about the ability for citizens to protect themselves from their own government when it begins to go bad. Of course, guns are also a means of personal protection and self defense, and I was very glad to find out that Huck is the first governor to ever have a concealed handgun license. This obviously proves his understanding of and belief in the 2nd amendment. The real selling point for me is Huckabee’s overall adherence to the Bible and its principles. Not only do his beliefs regarding abortion and marriage line up with the Scriptures, but his entire life, campaign, and platform follow the Bible. In a day and age where the very name of God has been cast out of public places, Mike’s indifference to political correctness and his emphasis instead on Biblical uprightness is extremely refreshing and even remarkable. The order of Huckabee’s values – faith, family, and freedom – is so important. God comes first; family comes next; and then comes freedom. He’s got it right. As a teen, I understand that many of the decisions and laws made today will influence the rest of my life. So, I certainly want to do all that I can to ensure the quality of my future by voting for the candidate who has a longer term vision than his own four year term. Mike Huckabee understands all of this too, and he stands to protect my future and the future of all other American young people. He is genuinely concerned for America and the path it is taking. He wants to set it straight and keep it going in the right direction – towards the value system of faith, family, and freedom. What a blessing it is to have a candidate who is a deeply committed Christian, a strong fiscal conservative, and an experienced political leader all in one. I support Mike Huckabee for President of the United States. He is clearly the best choice. Go Mike!

Even John McCain said it last night, when asked by a network reporter to respond critically about Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. He had plenty to say about Mitt (as if that should be a surprise), but he clearly refused to criticize Mike, instead praising him for "elevating the debate." Whether McCain was pandering or otherwise, the truth is that Mike has, indeed, both elevated the debate but taken the high ground and set the bar high. This isn't just because he is a committed Christian and former pastor -- though that is, I would suspect, the primary reason this campaign has been such a "surprise" to so many (though not those of us who've known God would bring him front and center for the very reasons even McCain praised him -- but because he is a highly intelligent, thoughtful, wise, discerning, compassionate and, dare I say, prayerful man of God whose vision, attitudes and character bring the sort of "change" (though I'm not as interested in change as I am in "improvement" and excellence, which are so sadly missing in so much of Washington) for which we all yearn (and not from the current administration so much as our nation's and the world's broader socio-economic-political-spiritual challenges! Nearly all the political analysts (conservatives included) are saying Mike Huckabee can't win, for various reasons. It angers me that they are attempting to control the vote with their "educated guesses". It's true Mike started out at a disadvantage, but look how far he's come! 24 years ago I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, and after surgery the Dr. said it was unlikely I would survive 5 years. Faith in God and prayers dictated otherwise, and I'm still here. I guess the moral to the story is - All things are possible if we believe. I'm assuming Mike Huckabee prayed for God's guidance in his bid for the Presidency, and would not have gone forward if he didn't feel it was God's will for him to do so. I hope you will all agree with me that "If God be for us, who can be against us?" Let's not only believe, but do all we can to get this good and honest man elected as President!

Many politicians out there are not willing to show their belief in public, afraid doing so may hurt their public figure. This means apparently they fear people more than they fear God. Mike is one of the few who can boldly stand up and express his faith, not bother with the crazy political correctness culture, or afraid his faith may offend some people (not to mention you will be bashed as a religious fanatic from the liberals if you dare to express your faith publicly now a day). He got the guts to stand up for God and speak the truth, which not much politicians are willing to do. Huckabee has Character, Integrity, and REAL moral values. That has to be the first thing we look for in a president. We can't expect a president to soundly lead this country forward and make critical decisions if character and morality fall to the bottom of voter requirements. You have to start there. Also, Huckabee exhibits the common sense this country needs. My husband and I own a tiny corporation--5 employees including ourselves--the current tax system is RIDICULOUS. And if you're a sole proprieter...just forget it! It truly does "penalize for productivity." I can testify to that. Huckabee will fight for something saner. And Huckabee believes it's critical to our country's safety to combat terrorism. He understands the threats against us, but he also knows the difference between defending our country and imposing democracy on people. He has the will to lead us through this war. Huckabee is the only candidate on either side that makes himself clear when he speaks to the people. If you ask a question, you get an answer--a clear, intelligent one. He doesn't just run around the country declaring that "America is Broken" or that he'll give "straight talk," like some candidates we know. There's no empty rhetoric with Mike Huckabee. That is so very important, to me, and to others I think. I could say more, but I'll stop there.

Although I shy away from publicly endorsing a single candidate, I, as a conservative Christian, do feel that Mike Huckabee is currently the best candidate running for President. On my blog, http://christianpresident.blogspot.com, I have been analyzing all the main presidential candidates' positions on key issues for conservative Christians. At this point, I have concluded that Huckabee is the best choice. TEN REASONS TO SUPPORT MIKE HUCKABEE FOR PRESIDENT 1.) Mike Huckabee is the only candidate who unabashedly believes in God, Jesus, and the Bible, speaking about it often and eloquently. In this election, with a Mormon as a leading candidate, we cannot underestimate this point. We must remember that true Christianity comes with certain benefits: godly strength, godly wisdom, Christian consistency, Christ's ambassadorship, and the Guidance of the Holy Spirit. You can read full posts about these topics on my blog. 2.) Now that Duncan Hunter has withdrawn his bid for the White House, Huckabee is the only candidate actively supporting a Human Life Amendment. Claiming that "America is not ready to ban abortion," as Romney says, is not good enough. Allowing for rape and incest exceptions, as Romney would, is unacceptable. Merely overturning Roe v. Wade to "restore constitutional balance," as John McCain wants to do, is not enough. Returning the power back to the states, as Fred Thompson desires, is not enough. Slavery was a moral iniquity, and many in our nation's history realized that it could not exist in any state, no matter what the states wanted. Abortion is no different. 3.) Some of Huckabee's main opponents, such as John McCain, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul, and Rudy Giulani, also oppose a federal marriage amendment. Huckabee has been an outspoken proponent of such a constitutional adjustment. We cannot live in a united and morally upright country if individual states, with factions of progressives and liberals, are allowed to re-define a God-ordained institution to fit their own personal fancies. 4.) Huckabee has the most consistent record on the Second Amendment. While Mitt Romney, John McCain, Rudy Giulani, and even Fred Thompson hold sketchy track records on defending the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Mike Huckabee has no such problem. A President has to realize the paramount and urgent importance of preserving the citizen's right to defend himself, his family, and his belongings. The reduction of the citizen's ability of self-defense is inseparable from the potential for more government control and authority, eventually leading to tyranny. Furthermore, gun control does not prevent crime; rather, it creates defenseless victims and fearless criminals by removing weaponry only from law-abiding citizens, who are not a concern in the first place. 5.) Mike Huckabee is the only candidate proposing the Fair Tax, a transformative change which would encourage productivity, rather than punish it. Our current tax system is arguably immoral, with an undeniably socialistic, wealth-redistributing bent, taking a higher percentage from one portion of the population than from the other. Ultimately, this hurts the little guy. Corporate taxes get passed on to the consumer and serve as a natural tariff on our exports. Besides that, the Fair Tax would be a salve to the illegal immigration problem in that it would remove one of the advantages which illegals possess; that is, illegals would now have to pay the same federal taxes as legal citizens. In addition to illegals, drug-dealers, pimps, and prostitutes would also suffer from the change. That is a form of "suffering" we would want to induce. 6.) Mike Huckabee is the only candidate touting preventative health care. Health care is always more expensive, more painful, more stressful, and riskier when treating a disease. Even if the malady can be cured, the patient would have been much better off never to have had the condition. Although we can't prevent all health issues, prevention is the area in which we should be headed. 7.) He has remained faithful and committed to his wife, which gives insight into his ability to keep commitments, his fear of God in His ordained institution, his respect for others (namely, his wife and children), and his selflessness and desire to do God's will rather than to fulfill some type of narcissistic purpose. 8.) Though some have criticized his track record on illegal immigration, Huckabee has a better plan than either John McCain or Rudy Giulani, while Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson don't seem to be offering much of a plan. John McCain wants to give amnesty to approximately ten million illegals amnesty, while Rudy Giulani, through national I.D. cards, wants to give defacto amnesty to many. As a moral, just country founded upon laws and believing in a righteous God, we cannot reward evil and punish good--which would be exactly the opposite of what government's purpose as a minister of God is supposed to be according to Romans 13. About a year ago, trying to shed a few extra pounds, I came across Mike Huckabees' book entitled 'Stop Killing Yourself with a Knife and a Fork'. I read it cover to cover and thought WOW...what determination, dedication and drive this guy must have to conquer this difficult addiction on his own! When I started seeing him on television talk shows and interviews I found myself not being able to change the channel and so began MY dedication, determination and drive to do anything I can to help get this Christian man into the White House!!! Mike Huckabee sets himself completely apart from all the other candidates because he's truely got the integrity and honesty to follow through with his promises!!! I am looking very forward to being a part of Huckabees Army and I am praying every day that GOD answers all of our prayers concerning Mike Huckabee!!

Mike is the most viable candidate for president for so many reasons, but I think the biggest reason is that he's genuine. His sense of humor and humble personality are the first things that drew me to Huckabee to begin with, and after researching his views compared with those of others, he solidly had my vote. I *love* the idea of the FairTax, and I think if anybody could get it passed, it's Mike. Too many other candidates remind me of typical Washington politics, with the exception of John McCain (who would probably have my vote if Mike weren't so completely awesome). I truly believe that he can bring change to a failing government system and a slumping economy. Why do I think Mike Huckabee is the best candidate for President?
Mike Huckabee is a man of integrity. He is wise, but also humble. He stands by what he believes and doesn't seek to destroy his opponents. He's a visionary. He's compassionate. He cares about everyone, not just wealthy conservatives. He is the only candidate that I trust to be our next president.

Why do I think Mike Huckabee is the best candidate for President?
Huckabee got me interested in politics again. I hadn't been watching any debates, and had completely tuned out all 08 presidential politics. I just wasn't interested in fake candidates who weren't even 'faking' they had my values. Then I started hearing about Huckabee and that he had a chance at winning so I checked him out, and realized he matches all my values SINCERELY. He is so genuine in his statements, they obviously don't come from some PR person, they come from who he is, and since then I've been hooked, even contributed to the campaign and made a website for him. Though I've been involved in other campaigns before, it's the first time I've ever done anything like that.

Mike Huckabee is the best man for President in 2008. He has the strongest vision for our country and is a leader that can unite people to accomplish the huge tasks that we are facing in the next several years. He has a wealth of experience and and breadth of knowledge. He leads with his heart and listens to the will of the people. He's an authentic conservative that stands firm in his faith. Let's do everything we can to put Mike in the Whitehouse! Go Mike Go!
